美国数据不及预期，美联储加息门槛提高

1月14日，美国公布了市场比较关注的12月末季凋CPI数据，数据结果显示没有达到市场的预期，在数据公布后，现货黄金出现了小幅上涨，而美联储对未来政策还没有明确表示，但不及预期的通胀数据以及部分官员言论表示，美联储加息的门槛会进一步提高。
具体数据显示，美国12月未季调CPI年率实际公布2.3%，预期2.4%，前值2.1%；美国12月未季调核心CPI年率实际公布2.3%，预期2.3%，前值2.3%。 美国12月未季调CPI指数实际公布256.97，预期257.17，前值257.21。
美国12月CPI数据小幅上涨，月度潜在通胀压力有所回落。此外，美国12月未季调CPI年率录得2.3%，创下2018年10月以来的最高水平。这或能使美联储至少在今年年底前保持基准利率在当前水平不变。
美国的通胀数据至关重要，因为其是美联储政策的重要参考指标之一。最大化就业与通胀稳定，本来就是美联储的两大给定政策任务。眼下，在失业率低于4%，“充分就业”已无悬念的背景下，通胀就成了美联储仅剩的政策调控目标。
最近的纽约联储消费者预期调查预示，短期通胀可能攀升，未来一年的通胀预期为2.53%。美国亚特兰大联储主席博斯蒂克指出，直至通胀走高前，推动加息存在一个非常高的门槛。
纽约联邦储备银行总裁威廉姆斯表示，美联储保持并达成2%通胀目标至关重要，即使全球低利率可能会持续。威廉姆斯的话称，“对低中性利率有一个艰难的适应过程，这些因素基本上是我们在接下来五到十年所要解决的问题。如果通胀持续像这样低于我们的目标水准，那么通胀预期的下行趋势就可能持续，通胀预期将远低于目标水准。”
分析指出，美联储明确表示，他们将容忍较高的通货膨胀，这意味着他们已经设定了很高的通胀门槛，分析认为2020年美联储可能会进一步提高对于通胀走高的容忍，因为美联储内部出现了更多的鸽派转向。
