美國經濟擔憂助力金價

因國際貿易局勢的細節不清晰，市場對美股持續上漲持謹慎的態度，出現預防性買盤，同時分析師預計美國2020年仍存在經濟衰退的風險，激發了金價的上漲，但貿易局勢的樂觀預期仍在一定程度上抑制了金價。
在即將落幕的2019年，美國經濟依舊維持擴張，但增長速度明顯放緩。企業投資下滑、製造業萎縮、國際貿易局勢輪番給美國經濟澆冷水。美國第三季度GDP資料的修正值確認了美國經濟在泡沫中。美國的GDP‘增長’完全是受到了過度消費和政府支出的推動，實際經濟在收縮。但這種支出就是債務的一部分，很多是無法償還的。接下去泡沫的破裂會非常駭人。
到2020年，美國的經濟或將面臨衰退的局面。摩根大通首席執行官、“商業圓桌會議”主席傑米·戴蒙認為，美國加征關稅對企業和消費者心理和信心產生負面影響。展望來年，在就業和消費支撐下，美國經濟有望持續擴張，但增速還將進一步放緩，增長潛力仍然存疑。美國全國商業經濟協會預計，明年美國經濟增速或放緩至1.8%。
全球經濟是否能夠在明年復蘇也要畫個問號。國際貨幣基金組織預計，2019年世界經濟增速僅為3％，創2008年國際金融危機以來最低水準。其中，發達經濟體經濟增速將放緩至1.7％，新興市場和發展中經濟體增速將放緩至3.9％。2019年造成全球經濟趨緩的各項因素並沒有完全解決，脫歐問題在保守黨贏得大選後並沒有得到實質性的解決，貿易爭端出現和緩但因沒有披露必要細節而讓投資者感到憂慮。此外，全球製造業放緩現在並沒有得到改善。
分析師認為，黃金仍有上行空間。黃金基本面看漲，為其價格在2020年升至1800美元/盎司開闢了通道。作為今年抑制金價漲勢重要因素之一的期貨市場倉位極端狀況現已緩解。三季度伴隨金價漲勢的消退，未平倉合約中基金淨多頭比例一度接近50%，但是如今這一比例已經回落到了31%的水準。
