11月22日，金价虽然有所反弹，但仍无法摆脱震荡趋势，同时美联储暂停降息，而且市场对贸易谈判进展感到疲劳，市场在寻找其他关键因素，当中欧洲公布的PMI数据也吸引了众多投资者的关注。
中国商务部新闻发言人高峰上日也表示，中美双方经贸团队将继续保持密切沟通，中方愿与美方在平等和相互尊重的基础上，共同努力，妥善解决彼此核心关切，力争达成第一阶段协议。这令市场对贸易谈判取得进展仍抱有希望。
分析师表示：“投资者已经出现信息疲劳，对新信息的反应积极性也有所下降。由于不断有相互矛盾的消息出现，市场已经放弃去猜想接下来会有什么消息传出，我们要在知道发生了什么事后才会去交易。”
欧洲主要经济体法国和德国11月份制造业PMI数据均有所反弹，欧元起初走强。但德国制造业仍处于萎缩之中。而制造业的急剧衰退蔓延到了服务业，欧元区经济在11月份几近停滞。欧元随后走弱。
脱欧进程现在已经再次延长，公司正在减少投资，因为他们正在等待英国与欧盟未来关系的更清晰的图景。疲弱的调查数据暗示，英国四季度GDP有望下降0.2%。
欧元区11月份PMI数据是在拉加德作为欧洲央行行长的第一次重要演讲之后发布的。政策制定者在九月份加大货币刺激力度之后，他们已经增加了对政府行动的呼吁。
拉加德表示，将会继续推行支持经济增长的货币政策，并在维护物价稳定的前提下对应对未来风险。欧洲需要新的政策组合，需要创新，需要保持足够的公共投资水平。
