美國國債收益率曲線的關鍵部分進一步倒掛，加劇了人們對經濟衰退即將到來的擔憂。兩大關鍵期限美債收益率達到2007年次貸金融危機爆發前水準。
備受關注的10年期美國國債收益率與2年期美國國債收益率之差週三擴大負6個基點，延續了上一交易日的跌幅。週二，美國10年期國債收益率與2年期國債收益率之差跌至負5個基點，創2007年以來的最低水準。專家們之所以擔心，是因為這種現象通常被視為經濟衰退即將發生的確切前兆。
分析師表示，“如果美國經濟真的開始減速，並且美元繼續走強，這意味著不可持續的基本面錯位，並會引起決策者的注意。如果美國能讓其他經濟體一起注意到這一隱憂，可能會得到一些支持，以協調干預措施。”
儘管加拿大經濟表現良好，但也面臨著美國經濟成長放緩帶來的風險。與大多數G10國家同行不同，加拿大央行還沒有暗示準備放鬆政策–但我們認為這種轉變很快就會到來。作為一個大宗商品部門佔據重要地位的開放型經濟體，全球經濟成長進一步疲軟最終都會對加拿大經濟產出構成壓力。
英國首相詹森就算解散議會也要按時脫歐的擔憂情緒升溫。為了實現硬脫歐，英國首相詹森準備延長議會休會時間，甚至必要時解散議會，以阻止議會出臺限制其硬脫歐的法律。詹森的意圖讓英國在各方無法達成協議的背景下“硬脫歐”的概率大大上升。
最新傳聞顯示，英國首相詹森為了反制反對黨旨在阻止“硬脫歐”的動議，詹森正打算讓議會在今年秋季繼續停擺，從而讓阻止脫歐的協議在10月31日大限到來前無法通過，這樣無論脫歐是否能夠和歐盟達成協議，脫歐都會在10月底按時完成。
分析師指出，近期以來，美國綜合經濟數據表現仍然向好，週二發佈的咨商會消費信心指數依舊顯著好於預期，而週三稍後的二季度GDP修正值也料將繼續佐證這一點。此後，投資者將更加矚目下周五(9月6日)即將出爐的8月非農就業數據。
下週一是美國勞動節，黃金市場經常會在美國勞動節前後發生一些特別的事情，在幾乎所有的案例中，金價要麼處在頂部，要麼在頂部形成後不久，在接下來的幾周，有時甚至是幾個月裏，黃金完全有可能出現大幅下跌。
