分析师表示：“黄金对股市反应较为敏感，当股票市场陷入不稳时，不少资金会选择黄金避险。而近期影响股市稳定的因素颇多，包括贸易战、即将到来的美国中期选举以及美联储年内可能有第四次加息。”
亚洲股市周一大跌，MSCI亚太指数(不含日本)跌逾1%，沪综指收跌近1.5%，日经225指数收跌近1.9%。
分析师称：“股市崩跌往往会使黄金具备更大的吸引力，当前金市已经重新增添了些许避险色彩。”
据新华社报道，中国央行行长易纲上周末在出席第38届IMFC（国际货币与金融委员会）会议时表示，贸易摩擦给经济带来的下行风险巨大，导致负面预期和不确定性，使市场产生紧张情绪。
上周股市便遭遇沉重卖压，现货金价在上周四(10月11日)当天跳升近2.5%，一举刷新了此前一个半月的高点。这也是逾两年时间以来，金价录得的最大单日涨幅。
新加坡经纪商OANDA交易总监Stephen Innes：“不断升级的地缘紧张局势也依旧支撑金价上行。另外虽然美联储升息看起来利空金价，但若加息步伐加快，可能削弱美联储在全世界的信用，进一步对新兴市场稳定性造成冲击。”
美联储今年已经加息三次，并有可能在年内实现四次加息。相比年内高点1366美元，金价目前仍有近10%的跌幅。全球最大黄金ETF——SPDR Gold Trust上周五增仓0.76%至744.64吨。
