美联储：预计加息三次失业率破4%
美联储票委威廉姆斯当地时间1月6日在费城举行的美国经济协会（American Economic Association）会议期间表示，考虑到已经比较强劲的美国经济将受到税改刺激，美联储2018年应该加息三次；在必要的情况下，美联储也可以加息多余或少于三次；预计2018年失业率将跌破4%，GDP将增长2.5%。
2018年美联储票委威廉姆斯当地时间周六表示，预计今年美国失业率将自当前的4.1%降至3.7%，并且不会出现令人担忧的通胀骤升；尽管其同僚们仅认为失业率会略微下降。
威廉姆斯指出，经过了一年的逐步收紧货币政策，中央银行对其路径仍然充满信心；即使上个月通过了的1.5万亿美元的减税法案。
威廉斯表示：“我们处于相当不错的状况：经济表现良好，每个人都预计我们逐步提高利率……如果经济数据发生变化，我们可以对其作出反应。”
他在午餐时间向路透社表示：“我并不担心通货膨胀突然飙升，今年三次加息对我来说是合理的。”
美国央行在2017年三次上调利率，以应对强劲的经济增长和失业率下滑，尽管通货膨胀率仍旧低迷，持续5年多未达到2％的目标。
美联储官员们的预期中值显示，随着税改计划的影响渗入经济，2018年将会有三次加息；税改内容包括削减企业和个人税负。
威廉姆斯说，美国经济将在两年后将会处于一个非常积极的状态，我认为我们的通货膨胀率将达到2％，失业率将达到4％左右。
