周四(12月15日)金融数据公司Markit公布的一份行业报告显示，美国12月制造业采购经理人指数(PMI)初值高于上月终值，创2015年3月以来最高。
数据显示，美国12月制造业采购经理人指数(PMI)初值为54.2，创2015年3月以来最高，11月终值为54.1。
制造业采购经理人指数反映了美国制造业的综合发展状况。因制造业在美国的GDP中占有较大比重，所以制造业采购经理人指数也是评估美国商业环境和整体经济状况的重要指标。50是标志该行业萎缩或增长的分水岭。
美国12月MARKIT制造业产出分项指数初值为55.1，11月终值为56.3。
美国12月MARKIT制造业新订单分项指数初值为54.1，为2015年6月以来最高，11月终值为52.4。
Markit首席经济学家威廉姆森表示，2016年底美国制造业表现强劲，国内市场欣欣向荣，表明消费者需求上扬和库存增加，这正抵消强势美元带来的出口下降的影响；企业雇佣人员正以18个月以来最快的速度增长，采购活动也有所提振，这说明生产者的信心得以改善，2017年料有一个好开头；经济稳固的增长和物价上扬都增大了2017年美联储将进一步加息的概率。
