英国9月零售销售增加
周二(10月11日)的一份调查显示，英国消费者支出在8月陷入疲弱后，9月已加快脚步，但英国退欧计划可能令未来销售承压。
英国零售业联盟(BRC)称，9月零售销售较上年同期上升1.3%，8月为下滑0.3%。不过BRC表示，销售额较上年同期平均仅增长0.9%，为该组织于1995年开始发布此数据以来的最小升幅。
BRC首席执行官Helen Dickinson表示，月度销售情况仍凸显出，零售支出波动较大，而且反映出经济面临的较长期不利因素。她在声明中指出，零售商已开始缓和英镑贬值推升进口物价的影响，进一步预示物价或将走升并侵蚀消费者的支出能力。
BRC还加入到其他商业组织的行列，呼吁首相特雷莎·梅尽量降低英国退欧对经济的冲击。BRC称，9月同店零售销售较上年同期上升0.4%，8月为下滑0.9%。截至9月的三个月，总销售成长1.0%，增幅高于2016年的多数时候，但低于2015年。
周二信用卡公司Barclaycard公布的另一份数据则更为乐观，显示7-9月消费者支出成长3.6%，增幅高于第一季的2.8%和第二季的3.1%。
Barclaycard称，衡量消费者对英国经济信心的指数触及2014年开始追踪以来的最高水准，有48%的民众表示看法乐观，高于第二季的34%。
