美国3月贸易赤字收窄
周三(5月4日)，纽约盘初，美国贸易赤字收窄抵消ADP部分利空，美元收复跌势金价回落。美元指数收复之前因ADP数据造成的跌势，金价从日内高位回落3美元至1286.38美元/盎司，油价小幅上涨，美油刷新日高44.37美元/桶。
数据显示，美国3月贸易赤字收窄至404亿美元，预期赤字412亿美元，前值修正为赤字470亿美元，初值471亿美元。3月出口降至1766.2亿美元，进口降至2170.6亿美元。之前公布的美国4月ADP就业人数增加15.6万人，远不及预期。
因进口触及五年低位，这虽然暗示美国第一季度GDP增速可能会被上修，但是亦暗示美国国内需求疲软。
路透社评美国3月贸易帐：美国3月贸易赤字意外大幅缩窄，其中进口创五年来最低水平，工业物品和材料进口创十二年来最低，国内需求相当疲软，而出口因美元走强和海外需求疲弱而受到拖累，其中向中国的货物出口降幅录得最大，总体来看，美国当前贸易情况显现下滑的趋势。
同时公布的加拿大贸易数据显示：加拿大3月贸易赤字从24.7亿加元升至34.1亿加元，创历史最高水平，因出口降速大于进口降速。数据显示加拿大3月出口月率下降4.8%，至409.9亿加元，而进口月率仅下降2.4%，至444.04亿加元。
数据公布后，美元兑加元短线急升30点至1.2782。
