欧元区4月制造业PMI终值好于预期
周一（5月2日）欧盟统计局公布的 欧元区4月制造业PMI终值为51.7，好于预期的51.5，3月终值为 51.6。虽然，数据好于预期，但欧元兑美元对此反应平淡，汇价小幅震荡走高。
Markit首席经济学家Chris Williamson评论指出，欧元区制造业PMI已连续两个月小幅走高，但仅从今年早些时候令人担忧的低位中轻微回升。无论是原材料成本价格还是出厂货物的平均价格，都在持续下降，不过降幅比此前几个月都小。目前来看，调查数据显示，至少对于整个欧元区来说，没有迹象表明欧洲央行刺激政策或者更疲弱的欧元有助于制造业的复苏。因此，当前希望都寄托在近期银行贷款增加，以及更激进的量化宽松政策，因经济迫切需要得到提振。
他还表示，从欧元区6个国家制造业PMI数据来看，意大利、西班牙制造业扩张速度最快，而德国在此前几近停滞后，显示出了复苏的迹象。法国制造业仍然令人担忧，制造业PMI创下了一年最低增速，以及法国出口下降，降幅为三年来最大。法国工厂的就业也是唯一一个下降的国家。
稍早公布的德国4月制造业PMI终值51.8，略低于预期的51.9，初值为51.9。
Markit经济学家奥利弗称，迹象显示德国制造业企业对于未来发展更为有信心，因此就业出现3个月以来的首次上升；更重要的是，随着未完成项目增加及成品库存减少，预计接下来几个月制造业产出将会实现增长。
法国4月制造业PMI终值48，创一年新低，低于初值的48.3，预期为48.3。
Markit高级经济学家Kennedy 评论指出，尽管法国生产成本以2009年中来的最大幅度下降，制造业仍然面临着需求疲软带来的困境 。
Kennedy 表示，对此制造商进行了新一轮的岗位削减，也进一步减少采购活动。
