日本内阁府在23日发布的月度经济报告中下调了对于该国经济的评估，为五个月以来的首次。分析人士表示，消费者支出萎靡不振，日本政府需要实施更多的财政刺激措施提振经济。
报告称，日本经济依然处于复苏轨道中，但暴露出许多薄弱环节，并存在下行风险，近期将可能看到经济放缓；而上月的报告则认为，日本经济的疲弱程度“有限”。与此同时，报告认为消费者支出持平，且消费信心不足。报告在下调对私人消费、企业利润和商业景气评估的同时，上调了对资本支出和出口的评估。
日本内阁府对于该国经济的评估与一周前日本央行的评估基本一致。日本央行认为，整体而言该国经济“正趋向持续温和复苏”，其中出口的增长趋势有所停滞，这一表述较1月份时的判断有所下调。此前日本央行认为该国经济整体“正在温和复苏”，其中出口出现回升。
此前公布的数据显示，去年第四季度日本国内生产总值（GDP）环比下降0.3%，换算成年率下滑1.1%。其中，国内个人消费环比下降0.9%，出口减少0.8%，内外需持续不振大大拖累了日本经济的表现。
