澳元兑美元在周二(2月9日)亚洲时段盘初再度走低，主要是受到了市场风险情绪低迷的影响。隔夜全球油价再度大跌，同时美欧股市全线重挫，连累了在中国农历新年休假期间照常交易的日本和澳大利亚股市开盘也大跌，这直接令澳元这一风险货币承压。
虽然，由于美元指数本身也受到风险情绪影响走低，所以澳元兑美元跌幅有限，但是交叉盘上来看澳元的跌幅却相当可观，尤其是澳元兑日元在过去一周已经重挫超过5%。周二早间发布的澳洲国民银行(NAB)商业信心指数表现基本差强人意，1月澳洲商业景气指数维持在5，但投资者对澳洲的经济前景仍存在顾虑，特别是该国的经济支柱矿业在失去了中国市场这一稳定靠山之后该何去何从这一问题。此前，评级机构穆迪刚刚下调了该国矿业主产区西澳大利亚州的地方债信评级。
此后，美联储主席耶伦将于周三(2月10日)前往国会发表半年度证词讲话，在此之前，市场投资者情绪仍将紧绷。如果耶伦届时意外对全球经济前景予以更多负面评价，市场风险嫌恶情绪会进一步升温。而在此之前，澳洲联储主席史蒂文森的证词讲话也可能会提及类似的状况，令市场情绪受到更多冲击。
技术上来看，澳元兑美元在跌破20小时均线支撑后，下一步的支撑位就是0.70这一整数心理关口，一旦跌破0.70关口，那么反转下行势头将确立，汇价或将进而挑战0.6820这一前期低位。
