据周五(9月11日)公布的一份报告显示，9月美国消费者信心意外下滑，远不及市场预期，且创下一年以来新低。
数据显示，密西根大学9月美国消费者信心指数初值下降至85.7，为一年以来最低，预期91.2，8月终值为91.9。
今天的报告还显示，密西根大学9月美国消费者现况指数初值100.3，创2014年10月以来最低，预期103.6，8月终值为105.1。
密西根大学美国9月消费者预期指数初值为76.4，创2014年9月以来新低，预期82.8，8月终值为83.4。
此外，密西根大学9月美国消费者一年通胀预期终值为2.9%，8月终值2.8%。密西根大学9月美国消费者五年通胀预期初值为2.8%，8月终值为2.7%。
数据公布之后，密歇根大学经济学家Curtin称，美国消费前景仍比较乐观，消费者已经做好准备摆脱市场动荡的影响；仍然对汽车等耐用品的消费持积极观点。
Curtin还指出，美联储加息可能会增加前景风险；市场动荡误导了消费者的观点；美国消费者不认为油价将持续保持低位。
