上周五(8月29日)金价在连续几个交易日的下跌后，终于有所回升，美联储官员对升息的态度为黄金市场带来了一些支撑，不过当周金价仍然有相当下的下跌。
明尼阿波利斯联储柯薛拉柯塔表示，今年加息不是个好主意。全球经济放缓给美国前景带来口头风险，市场波动说明不应急于撤出宽松措施。柯薛拉柯塔今年年底将离开美联储重返学术领域，他认为通胀率回到目标需要数年的时间，鉴于此考虑采取进一步刺激措施是恰当的。
Marex Spectron交易员Graham Leighton表示：“低利率基本上就意味着美元走软黄金强劲，低利率对黄金总是利好的。”
