美元指数周二(6月23日)终于迎来了多头盼望已久的涨势，重新回到95.00上方，涨幅超过1%。其中欧元/美元下跌对美元指数上涨贡献巨大。周二欧元/美元下跌接近1.4%。希腊方面周一向债权人提出一份新的协议草案，对税务、养老金等方面均出现妥协的迹象，市场认为雅典方面在最后关口终于有诚意达成协议。对此欧洲债权人方面持谨慎欢迎态度，表示仍需很多工作才能使提案变成现实协议。
欧洲央行今年开始实施QE政策刺激经济，指望欧元贬值能够提振欧洲疲软的经济走势，但是近期欧元出现回升态势，使欧洲央行颇为头疼，值得欧洲央行庆幸的是，目前欧洲经济仍然表现强劲。周二公布的MARKIT综合PMI指数显示，欧洲经济目前保持强劲势头，PMI创下2011年5月以来最高水平，且连续两年站在50枯荣分水岭上方。
一些分析人士认为，最近一段时间欧元兑美元的强势表现主要是因为欧洲经济近期非常强劲。相比之下美国经济复苏则表现出不平衡的态势。就业市场以及房地产表现强劲，但是通胀水平一直没有明显回升迹象。这使欧元/美元此前在希腊危机困扰以及欧美货币政策差距的大前提下仍然一路上涨并保持了相当的韧性。
尽管美元指数上涨，英镑/美元有所下跌，但是英镑在最近数天内可以算是G10货币中表现最强劲的一支。英国经济近期表现超出预期，英镑接着上周FOMC会议显示美联储偏鸽派的影响，一举突破前几月高位，站上1.5800上方。同时希腊问题困扰欧洲，瑞士央行维持其负利率，并暗示如瑞郎升值将实施干预，使英镑成为欧洲投资者新的避险天堂。
