据中国媒体周一(4月27日)报导，目前中国国务院国资委确定了下一步的国企改革重点，央企将在分类基础上进行大规模兼并重组，数量有望进一步缩减至40家。国资委已经就推进央企重组专门下发了文件。
该中国媒体援引权威人士称，本轮大规模兼并重组，将在公益类和商业类分类基础上，首先集中在商业类国企领域，特别是完全竞争性行业，资源要素将会进一步向大企业大公司集中，防止类似南北车那样在参与全球项目时出现同业恶性竞争等情况，目前很多央企已经开始有所动作。
