美国能源信息署(EIA)称，一旦伊朗制裁被取消，原油价格可能被拉低15美元/桶。朗协议如果达成，伊朗的制裁被取消，那么伊朗原油将重新回到全球市场，使得原油市场的供应更多，EIA称，这样情况下，原油价格可下降5至15美元/桶。
EIA称，到2016年年底，伊朗的原油产量能增加至少70万桶/天，3月该国的产量为285万桶/天。EIA报告称，预计明年Nymex原油价格70美元/桶，布伦特原油价格75美元/桶，但这一预期并未考虑伊朗的因素。
EIA称，伊朗的额外产量将使得全球原油产量年平均增长在2016年达到50万桶/天，进一步增加供需面的压力。EIA还预计，到2016年全球的原油库存将增长10万桶/天，这还不包括伊朗的原油。伊朗目前储有原油至少3000万桶，并且今年下半年的产量能够更快增长，“以准备制裁的消除”。
