欧洲央行在纽约市场尾盘宣布，停止在融资操作中接受希腊债券作为抵押品，从而把向银行提供融资的负担转移到了希腊央行身上，并使得希腊陷入孤立，除非该国达成新的改革协议。
此举意味着希腊央行未来几周将为本国银行业者提供数以百亿欧元计的额外紧急流动性。许多德国人士认为，这是对希腊政府放弃以援助促改革计划的回应。
“这确实让希腊形势变得更加紧张，”Scotiabank驻多伦多首席外汇策略师Camilla Sutton称。她表示，虽然希腊距离退出欧元区的地步仍很遥远，但欧洲央行的声明增强了这一风险。
