12月14日 – 石油输出国组织(OPEC)秘书长巴德里周日称，尽管油价触及五年低点，但他认为海湾国家应该继续投资石油勘探和生产，以防止未来油价急速上涨。
这是巴德里自上月OPEC会议召开以来首次发表公开言论，他称，OPEC没有为原油设定目标价格。迪拜一场活动上讲话时还称，他认为美国将继续依赖中东原油很多年。
