二、统计口径不一样
金融租赁被划为第三产业金融业下面的金融租赁。而融资租赁则被划分为第三产业租赁和商务服务业下面的机械设备租赁。只有在国家统计局统计的数据上才能找到这种分类的差异，而这个分类原则与监管部门的划分是统一的。
三、监管部门不一样
金融租赁公司是由银监会审批并监管，且有规定表明，只有银监会审批设立的租赁公司才能冠以“金融”二字。而且由于金融租赁公司从金融市场拆借资金仅涉及公众存款的资金或信用，因此把金融租赁公司作为放款部门监管。而融资租赁公司则由商务部审批和监管，由于这些公司没有进入资金市场的资格，因此实际上其只能作为信用销售公司来监管。
