一、外盘
1、股票市场
外盘通常用B（buy）表示，是指以卖出价格成交的数量，即买方主动以高于或等于当前价格下单买入股票时成交的数量，用红色显示。外盘的多少显示多方急于买入的能量强弱。
2、黄金市场
外盘是指以外币标价的境外现货、期货黄金交易。如：伦敦金、纽约金、香港金等。其中，在国际黄金交易市场上占主导地位的是以西方传统的盎司为单位、用美元标价的伦敦金和纽约期金。
二、内盘
1、股票市场
外盘通常用S（sell）表示，是指以买入价格成交的数量，即卖方主动以低于或等于当前价格下单卖出股票时成交的数量，用绿色显示。内盘的多少显示空方急于卖出的能量强弱。
2、黄金市场
内盘是指以人民币标价的国内黄金投资交易市场。内盘的走势基本都要受到外盘的影响。
三、外盘与内盘的区别
1、股票市场
外盘是主动性买盘，是股民用资金直接对卖一、卖二、卖三等价格的主动性买入。内盘是主动性卖盘，是股民用手中拥有的股票直接以买一、买二、买三等价格的主动性卖出。当外盘数量大于内盘数量时，股价后市可能上涨；当内盘数量大于外盘数量时，股价后市可能下跌。
2、黄金市场
（1）内盘仅是国内市场，以人民币标价，主要集中在上海黄金交易所、天津贵金属交易所、广东贵金属交易中心。外盘是以外币标价的国际市场，目前国内投资者集中在香港金银业贸易场下的会员单位。
（2）内盘是国内银行第三方托管，一切都受国内法律监管。外盘是银行监管，目前国内法律还不能保障。
（3）内盘采用12.5倍的杠杆，外盘采用100倍的杠杆。
（4）外盘相对于内盘来说手续费较低。
