伦敦金定盘价改革“箭在弦上”

伦敦金银市场协会（LBMA）以及目前通过电话会议管理定价机制的四家银行本月稍早表示，他们将在10月宣布新的管理者，但这个程序可能耗时更长。至少有15家公司已经表示有意取代百年历史的旧有伦敦金基准机制；新体系料在2014年底就绪。
在8月份，万众期待的白银定价盘新制度将在周五推出，改革后的白银定价机制仍以拍卖方式进行，并通过可审计的电子化平台进行定价。与此同时，伦敦黄金基准价也在寻找新的定价模式。
在全球加强金融监管，打击内部价格操纵的背景下，曾缺乏透明度的伦敦金、银定价机制不得不走上变革之路。白银定价盘制度为黄金定价盘制度做铺垫，伦敦黄金市场每日两次的定价制度始于1919年，当时伦敦五大银行的代表每天集中在罗斯柴尔德银行的办公室，制定伦敦黄金市场黄金价格。
LBMA本月向市场参与者发起意见征询，其中包括央行、矿业公司以及冶炼企业，以评估市场参与者希望如何定价。LBMA还将在10月举行座谈会讨论入围提案。
银行业者原本希望作成的一个改变是，任命一名独立主席来监管现有定盘价，主要是为了遵从新规。但一位消息人士称，这项尝试已经放弃，因为市场开始倾向采取不需要独立主席的电子化解决方案。芝加哥商业交易所(CME)7月时率先证实，有意申请管理黄金定盘价。
伦敦金属交易所(LME)、麦格劳-希尔(McGraw Hill) MHFI.N 旗下数据提供商普氏(Platts)，以及黄金经纪商Autilla也表示，正在与金市沟通交流，但拒绝评论是否已经提交正式申请。另一消息人士称，美国衍生品交易所–洲际交易所(ICE) ICE.N 可能提出了申请。该机构拒绝置评。
