公投前苏格兰人猛买黄金

根据英国中央政府的授权，当地时间9月18日，苏格兰将就是否脱离英国而独立举行公民投票，并将连夜计票尽快得出结果。如果公投通过，苏格兰将结束同英国的三百年“婚姻”，成为独立国家，而英国也将“一夜分裂”。此次公投并非是苏格兰突发奇想，历史恩怨与现时地区发展等未调和的问题，使矛盾集中爆发。分析认为，苏格兰如果独立，将给英国、欧洲甚至世界造成极大影响，而其前路也不一定平坦。
首先是欧盟成员资格问题。苏格兰一旦独立，将很可能被摒弃于北约、欧盟之外。英国和西班牙等会坚决拒绝苏格兰加入北约和欧盟，以压制相关国家的独立势力。
还有货币问题。苏格兰的央行和货币也将随之成为难题。届时苏格兰很可能既不能使用英镑也不能使用欧元，将面临货币、国家身份认可等方面的大问题。苏格兰如脱离英镑体系，其金融系统或将陷入危险境地，引发资本外逃。
此外，苏格兰境内还有英国最重要的战略核武器库。苏格兰一旦独立，英国只能将武器库搬走，这将耗费巨大的财力和漫长的时间。这次公投还会对欧洲造成深远的地区影响。一旦苏格兰独立，原本英国在欧盟中的主导地位将不复存在，英国可能面临退出欧盟的选择。同时，欧洲各国纷纷担心自己国家领土会像这样被分裂，从而导致某些不理性政府与社会的不对等，爆发更多危机。
而苏格兰独立公投在即，苏格兰人对黄金的需求猛增。黄金交易机构金库公司数据显示，自9月初以来，购买黄金的苏格兰人数量同比增加将近40％。金库研究部负责人阿德里安·阿什说，这显然与独立可能性引发的焦虑有关。尽管公投临近，各方尚未就苏格兰一旦独立将使用何种货币达成一致。欧盟官员先前说，如果苏格兰从英国独立出去，必须重新申请加入欧盟，过程需要5年；如果获得批准，必须使用欧元，不得使用英镑。
