印度黄金走私规模不断激增

自从印度黄金走私数量激增后，黄金利润一度走向最大化。在印度本财年前三个月期间，没收的走私黄金已经超过了黄金总数的50%，这也是2011-2012年间走私数量的7倍多。
根据政府公布的数据，4月至6月之间在机场就拦截了价值4400万美元的走私黄金。相比之下，截至3月31日财年的黄金走私数量为8200万美元。
去年4月至7月，孟买机场海关查获61.46公斤走私黄金，而今年到7月，缴获了403.52公斤。在在南方的钦奈机场海关官员，查获的走私黄金也比去年多。
由于去年印度政府为了降低国家的财政赤字，提高了黄金进口关税，促使黄金走私在全国蓬勃发展。去年，政府已经上调了10%的说。
今年，仅仅是孟买两个机场走私黄金的案件就上涨了6倍，从4月份以来的四个月里，就海关部门的记录就多达497例，而去年同期是79例。
