印度商业工业部长称应削减黄金进口关税

汇丰银行(HSBC)上周发布报告时指出，在接受印度报业托拉斯采访时，印度商业和工业部长Nirmala Sitharaman表示，印度应该削减黄金进口关税。处于高位的关税不仅阻碍了宝石珠宝行业的发展，也导致了黄金非法进口量激增。
不过印度黄金的需求或取决于该国经常帐赤字表现。印度政府经常把黄金进口看成该国贸易赤字不断膨胀的罪魁祸首。
汇丰银行表示，“尽管已经就放松黄金进口限制作出了一些努力，如允许更多的贸易商进口黄金，但进口关税仍维持在10.0%。我们看来，该国经常帐赤字的进一步收窄是释放黄金需求的一个重要因素。”
