IMF对经济看法将推动金价

汇丰银行贵金属分析师认为，国际货币基金组织对美国经济的看法将会推动金价。上周IMF（国际货币基金组织）称，美联储有空间将0利率维持得比投资者们预期的更长的时间。目前市场对美联储升息的预期在2015年中期。IMF报告称，长期的目标水平为3.75%。
IMF的报告还称，不过即使美联储政策将有如此的走向，仍然将比较缓慢的走向完全就业并且通胀压力仍然将比较弱。这意味着结构上的金融稳定风险被遏制住，利率仍维持0的情况下降通胀控制在2%下方。
金价历史上就对利率预期很敏感，利率可能更长时间维持在0，那么理论上是对金价有利的。
另外，太平洋投资管理公司前首席执行官撰文称，不要被美联储当前看似“四平八稳”的平静表象所蒙蔽，该联储距离不得不作出艰难抉择的日子已经越来越近。
美联储公开市场委员会周二已开始召开为期两天的货币政策会议，于北京时间7月31日凌晨02:00公布最终决议。外界普遍预计美联储将进一步缩减量化宽松(QE)规模，市场预期月度购债规模将从上次的350亿美元缩减至250亿美元。现代央行操作有一个约定俗成的规定：除非迫不得已，否则不要在夏季进行重大政策调整。许多交易员都在休假，任何突如其来的举措都有可能破坏市场稳定。美联储在本周开会时料将遵守这一规定，欧洲央行在8月初可能也会这么做。
主席耶伦和她在FOMC的同僚们将继续采取他们经过字斟句酌的渐进式方式，将每月购债规模再缩减100亿美元，暗示加息需求并不迫切，并提醒投资者在观察就业市场形势时要放眼于失业率以外。但在这种“四平八稳”的表象背后，美联储官员要面对五个彼此息息相关的复杂问题，它们的解决可能需要花费数月时间。
