印度黄金逆差增长

尽管黄金走私猖獗，对放松黄金进口限制的呼声很高，但印度政府却不为所动，仍然维持着上一届政府所施行的限制措施。
第一季度印度的出口有增加，而黄金进口则有降低，出口从733亿美元增加到了801亿美元，而黄金进口则从163亿美元下降到71亿美元。
在对进口的限制下，印度的黄金走私仍然非常猖獗，据印度孟买机场的海关官员称，在上周四，机场在厕所内查获了4.7公斤的走私黄金，价值约20万美元。而在周三，孟买一家免税店店员被查获走私了1公斤黄金，等等。
此前印度人民党的当选和莫迪的上任曾被印度黄金行业为放松限制报以很大的希望，但在7月10日的预算案中，莫迪政府未对黄金政策做出任何改变。
而在印度婚礼季的背景下，今年6月印度进口黄金同比大增65%，这使得市场猜测印度政府将更倾向于维持对黄金的进口限制。
事实上，对印度黄金市场的影响还有很多因素。在今年第二季度，印度的商品贸易逆差为331亿美元，同比下降31%，这其中包含了出口增长9.3%的因素，以及黄金进口下跌的因素。
然而，第二季度逆差相较第一季度，确实增加了45亿美元，这意味着这一季度印度的经常账户赤字(CAD)将有增加。
印度通胀在放缓，分析师认为，这使得印度政府不会在这种情况下考虑黄金的进口。
此外，全球大宗商品价格的下降都对印度的贸易赤字产生影响，原油、煤、、钢和黄金占印度进口的一半，在2013至2014年，原油占印度贸易你查的75%。
有分析师认为，在2015财年，印度的CAD可增加至占GDP的2.2%。在全球经济复苏的情况下，如果出口增长，那么对黄金进口限制的方式也会带来进口的增长。
在五月时，印度政府新允许了一些机构进口黄金，这也被认为是6月黄金进口增加的原因。
