中国黄金矿藏约8200吨

过去7年中国都是全球最大的黄金生产国，2013年中国的黄金产量为430吨，不过对于这样的产量能否持续一直是有疑问的。
但据Asia First报道称，中国国内地质勘探的矿藏发现速度超过了矿产率，并且在过去三年中有稳定上升。据报道，中国的黄金储备在8200吨左右，仅次于南非的31000吨。
当然，经济可开采的矿藏数量则完全不同，对南非而言，正是矿石等级和矿藏深度在阻碍其在目前金价环境下开采黄金，而中国的情况则至少保证可以持续并且增长目前的产量，维持全球第一黄金生产国的地位。
中国目前每年的黄金产量比全球第二大黄金生产国澳大利亚的产量要多差不多65%，比曾经世界第一长达几十年的南非则要多140%。
此外，由于中国的矿企基本上都是国企，盈利对它们来说和其它国家的矿企不同。因此开采黄金或许也不会太守金价影响。对于中国实际的黄金持有量一直有很多猜测，但没人能给出确切的信息。甚至很多人相信，除了拥有8133.5吨的美国外，中国很可能是全球持有黄金第二多的国家。
