印度或正式放宽黄金进口限制

据消息人士在本周二(5月27日)透露，印度政府将很快放松对黄金的进口限制措施。
据称，由于印度的经常账户赤字(CAD)状况有很大改善，因此印度政府终于将要做出行动。
2013年为控制经常账户赤字，印度政府和央行采取了包括将黄金进口关税上调至10%等手段的措施，以限制黄金进口。这虽然使得印度的CAD有改善，但也带来了大量的黄金走私。
印度的金饰行业一直对进口限制有所抱怨，在印度人民党在大选中获胜，莫迪上任后，市场一直在预计限制的放松。最近数据显示，2014年一季度印度的CAD已缩减至其GDP的0.2%左右，较一年前创纪录的6.7%有大幅下降。消息人士透露，在印度经济事务部给新任财政部长Arun Jaitley的报告中，因黄金进口限制是CAD下降的主要因素，因此列出了对黄金进口政策的查看。不过Jaitley在报告中没有表达自己对这一问题的态度。
