顾资银行已提高黄金投资组合比重

彭博社3月10日报导，苏格兰皇家银行集团（Royal Bank of Scotland Group Plc）旗下财富管理事业顾资银行（Coutts & Co.）亚洲暨中东地区投资长杜根（Gary Dugan）表示，该行已经将黄金占投资组合的比重由去年的1%-2%提高至3%-4%，因中国大陆财富增加将带动黄金的消费，以及近期乌克兰的情势刺激避险需求的影响。截至去年底，顾资银行的管理资产规模达到297亿英镑（494亿美元）。
杜根指出，即便是在乌克兰事件以前，该行也已经了解到客户希望提高黄金投资比重的需求，但该行对黄金投资采取较为保守的策略，并不会去追逐高价，而是倾向于逢低承接。杜根表示，去年金价大跌将近三成，投资人对黄金投资的看法也已经从赚取价差转为避险保值的角度。
杜根认为，黄金仍是平衡新兴市场风险的良好选项。虽然美国缩减量化宽松意味着全球逐渐走出金融风暴的阴影，但许多投资人心里也都非常明白的是，世界经济仍然深陷庞大的债务当中，而经济成长要取得更多的动能也仍相当挣扎。
中国大陆去年黄金需求创新高突破一千公吨，并取代印度成为全球最大的黄金消费国。根据中国黄金协会的数据，2013年，大陆黄金消费量首次突破1000吨，年增41.36%达到1176.40吨。而根据世界黄金协会（World Gold Council）的报告，大陆去年黄金需求年增32%达到1,066公吨，印度黄金需求则是年增13%至975公吨。目前，各大银行对金价前景的看法分歧。
摩根士丹利（Morgan Stanley）周一（3月10日）将2014年平均金价的预估下调11.6%至每盎司1,160美元，2015年均价预估也下调12.5%至1,138美元。而此前，瑞银集团（UBS AG）将2014全年平均金价的预估由1,200美元上调至1,300美元。花旗研调（Citi Research）也将2014年的金价预估上调了4%至每盎司1,303美元。高盛集团（Goldman Sachs Group Inc.）二月报告则重申年底金价下看1,050美元的目标不变，该行商品研究主管库里（Jeffrey Currie）认为今年金价有跌破1,000美元的风险。Westpac Banking Corp.分析师Justin Smirk则预估今年12月金价将下跌至1,011美元。
