印度黄金白银进口量双双下滑

印度《商业标准报》3月6日报导，印度珠宝首饰出口促进委员会（GJEPC）公布，一月份珠宝首饰的进口额年增8%至2.44亿美元，主要是受到粗钻进口额较去年同期的9.86亿美元增加27%至12.57亿美元的带动，金条进口额则较去年同期的7.43亿美元下滑39%至4.55亿美元，金饰进口额也较去年同期的1.11亿美元下滑33%至7,429万美元。印度几乎所有的黄金需求均仰赖进口，黄金是印度仅次于原油的第二大进口商品，为了控制2012/13财年创新高的经常帐赤字，印度政府去年采取了连串的黄金进口限制措施，包括将黄金进口关税上调至10%，以及推出80/20黄金进口限制措施（进口黄金需有20%用于再出口）等。相关措施导致印度国内的黄金供应短缺，并造成印度国内金价较国际金价大幅溢价。2013/14财年至今（2013.04-2014.01），印度珠宝首饰的进口额年减17%至249.4亿美元，其中粗钻进口额年增14%至138.4亿美元的带动，金条进口额年减52.5%至42.6亿美元，金饰进口额更较上年同期的43.9亿美元大减至4.05亿美元。
印度一月份金饰出口额年减32.8%至4.82亿美元，2013/14财年至今的金饰出口额则是年减49.5%至55亿美元。印度除了是传统上的最大黄金消费国之外，也是最大的金饰出口国。GJEPC副主席Pankaj Kumar Parekh此前表示，珠宝商希望80/20黄金进口限制措施能有所放宽，并且黄金进口关税能够下调，以保护金饰出口产业。东方汇理私人银行外汇及贵金属投资策略部环球主管Davis Hall周四（3月6日）表示，近日金价回升或与乌克兰政局紧张有关，但预期今年金价将于每盎司1,200至1,400美元区间徘徊。Hall认为，黄金尚未进入熊市，因大陆对实金需求持续上升可支持金价，同时印度有望下调进口黄金关税亦有利金价；不过，由于现时美国债息率高，持有黄金的机会成本相对上升，因此限制了金价的升幅。
