耶伦证词无新意 Citi认为实际利好金价

2月27日，美联储(Fed)主席耶伦(Janet Yellen)在参议院金融政策委员会上做了半年度货币政策证词，本次证词仍沿袭上次证词的精神，未现新意。
耶伦表示，近期经济数据表明美国经济领域中的开支疲软，这可能在一定程度上归咎于异常恶劣的天气因素所造成的影响。
耶伦在出席国会参议院金融委员会听证会时发表了上述看法，称自她2月11日出席众议院金融委员会听证会以来，一系列经济数据已经表明，支出比众多分析师所预估的更加疲软。
耶伦指出，上述支出疲软可能在一定程度上体现了恶劣天气环境所造成的影响，但就目前而言，还难以详细辨明天气所造成的影响究竟有多大；在未来数周到数月的时间里，美联储将关注经济复苏进展是否符合预期信号。
花旗银行(Citi)期货专家Sterling Smith周四称，“当前市场已预期未来耶伦将把美联储前瞻性指引的重点转向利率，而这实际上对金价利好。这主要是因为当前美国失业率已逐步逼近美联储此前定下6.5%升息门槛，所以美联储官员必须对前瞻性指引做出调整，比如从注重缩减购债转向升息。我相信美联储在做出这样的转变后，市场将逐步淡忘QE的影响，并认为货币政策依然宽松，因为当前美国通胀远不及美联储此前制定的2%目标，意味着升息还需很长一段时间。”
不过，Smith指出，“从目前市场人士的反馈来看，他们依然预计美联储将继续缩减QE，尽管市场早已吸收了这样的预期。去年由于美联储首次提到缩减QE，致使国际金价重挫28%，黄金ETF持仓大幅缩水。就我个人而言，我认为市场的关注重点已经开始转移，意味着美联储继续缩减QE对金价的影响会越来越小。”
另外，他补充道，“当然，未来市场交易商还是会继续关注美国经济数据以及美联储官员对缩减QE的看法，并对此作出一些回应，但从今日耶伦的证词来看，未来美联储可能不会像前两次那样激进的缩减QE。”
