墨西哥金银产量减少 铜产量增加

《MINEWEB》2月7日报导，南方铜业（Southern Copper）母公司墨西哥集团（Grupo Mexico）公布，2013年铜产量较上年度的835,752公吨减少4%至799,159公吨，钼产量则是较上年度的18,220公吨增加9%至19,940公吨，锌产量较上年度的89,884公吨增加11%至99,372公吨。墨西哥集团表示，上年度铜产量减少主要因为旗下矿场Buenavista产量年减10%所致，该矿去年因雨水泛滥令产量减少22,000公吨。钼产量则受到La Caridad矿产量创新高达到11,742公吨的带动。此外，该集团去年银产量年减1%至1,493.4万盎司，黄金产量年减19%至35,545盎司。墨西哥集团去年第四季的黄金产量年减24%至10,265盎司，银产量年减1.2%至380万盎司，铜产量则是年增1.2%至206,712公吨。该集团去年净利年减27.2%至17.47亿美元，主要受到金属价格下跌的影响，但集团董事会已经核准今年的资本支出将达到创新高的25亿美元。
南方铜业执行长Oscar Gonzalez此前表示，英美资源（Anglo American PLC）和南方铜业正在对合作开发价值33亿美元的秘鲁奎拉维科铜矿（Quellaveco）进行洽谈。Gonzalez称，不断上升的成本已经损及全球矿业，令英美资源集团寻求与南方铜业的合作关系。奎拉维科铜矿最快将在2016年投产，年产量预计为22.5万吨。奎拉维科铜矿的环境影响评估已经得到批准，且持有该铜矿82%股份的英美资源集团已经与当地政府达成协议。此前，由于在水供应、环境和社会发展等诸多问题上遭到当地小区反对，奎拉维科项目被迫停工将近一年的时间。
