《MINEWEB》1月24日报导,汤森路透黄金矿业公司(Thomson Reuters GFMS)公布的报告表示,2013年全球矿产金产量年增4%达到2,982公吨,主要因为新矿投产,以及金矿商为应对金价下跌纷纷提高产量的影响。
世界最大上市铜矿商、美国自由港麦克墨伦铜金公司(Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold Inc.)1月22日公布的获利优于分析师的预期,因该公司去年第四季铜产量年增17%达到11.8亿磅,黄金产量更增长超过一倍至53.7万盎司,有效抵消了铜金价格双双下跌的冲击。
不过,金价下跌的冲击仍无法避免。路透社1月23日报导,俄罗斯两家黄金矿业公司Petropavlovsk和Nord Gold计划缩减其2014年的黄金产量,因为在金价下跌之后,公司将着重缩减成本。Petropavlovsk预计今年黄金的产量将年减16%至625,000盎司,Nord Gold预计今年黄金的产量在870,000至920,000盎司,而去年该公司的黄金产量在924,400盎司。 Petropavlovsk总裁Peter Hambro表示,金价上涨的时候矿商就会以最大的成本来采矿,而当金价下跌的时候当然会减少采矿,因此今年黄金产量将会下降。而Nord Gold则称今年公司黄金产量的下降要归因于Bissa金矿矿石品位较低的影响。
西非国家马利共和国矿业理事会周四(1月23日)公布的数据显示,2013年该国的黄金产量年增2%至51公吨,超出此前49公吨的产量预期。数据显示,2013年马利的工业黄金产量为47公吨,其余4公吨为手工开采。马利共和国是仅次于南非和加纳的非洲第三大产金国,该国主要的黄金生产商包括知名的AngloGold Ashanti,Randgold Resources以及加拿大矿商Iamgold。
