世界前3大铂金矿商将遭遇罢工

路透社1月20日报导，南非矿工和建筑业工会（Association of Mineworkers and Construction Union, AMCU）主席麦桑吉瓦（Joseph Mathunjwa）表示，基于工会的表决结果，周一将对该国也是世界前三大铂金矿商–英美铂金公司（Anglo American Platinum Limited, Amplats）、印帕拉铂金公司（Impala Platinum Holdings Ltd., Implats），以及隆明公司（Lonmin Plc）提出罢工通知，工会将于周四（23日）起进行罢工。南非铂金产量占全球七成比重，主要均位于鲁斯登堡（Rustenburg）铂金带。2012年8月，因罢工爆发的严重致死意外，令南非的罢工潮蔓延逾两个月；过去15个月来，三大铂金矿商均宣布了减产以及关闭部分矿场的计划。三大铂金矿商提议最多加薪8.5%，较南非通膨5.3%高出3.2个百分点，但AMCU要求基本月薪倍增至12,500南非币（1,200美元）。纽约商业交易所（NYMEX）4月铂金期货17日上涨1.6%成为每盎司1,454.1美元，周线上涨1.2%；20日电子盘最新报价续涨1%至1,469美元。蒙特利尔银行资本市场（BMO Capital Markets）1月14日报告预期铂金价格长期来说将维持在钯金价格的两倍，主要是受到南非供应问题的影响。
美银美林（Bank of America Merrill Lynch）报告指出，铂金价格受到最大生产国南非供应问题的支撑，同时，近期以来欧洲车市持续下滑的趋势也已经有所放缓。铂金主要用于生产柴油车的触媒转化器，欧洲是其重要的市场。但另一方面，铂金价格如果持续上涨，可能会损及铂金饰品的需求。庄信万丰（Johnson Matthey）报告指出，由于工业与投资需求的增长弥补了汽车与首饰市场的需求下滑，2013年铂金市场的供给短缺预估将创下1999年以来的新高；钯金市场的供给缺口则可望缩减，因消费下滑的速度超过了供给的增长。报告预估，今年铂金市场的供给缺口将较上年度扩增78%至60.5万盎司，钯金市场的供给短缺则可望较上年度缩减36%至74万盎司。
