中国或成为全球第三大黄金持有国

根据彭博产业（Bloomberg Industries）报告，中国去年可能已超越意大利和法国，跻身全球第3大黄金持有国。
根据报告，中国持有的黄金资产可能约2710公吨，相较于2009年4月上次公布的1054公吨。根据世界黄金协会（World Gold Council, WGC），意大利持有黄金达2451.8公吨，法国则拥有2435.4公吨。美国持有黄金资产8133.5公吨，是全球最大黄金持有国。
根据彭博产业资深金属矿业分析师霍夫曼（Kenneth W Hoffman），中国人民银行继2012年增持黄金380公吨后，去年可能再加码622公吨。
霍夫曼接受电话访问时表示，「从和中国及蒙古国官员的对话来看，显然中国觉得他们想持有和美国一样多的黄金资产。」
根据彭博数据，以黄金担保的指数股票型基金（ETF）持有的黄金资产去年减少超过869公吨。金价去年大跌28%，改写1981年以来最大跌幅。
霍夫曼指出，黄金今年从西方转到东方。
