澳洲黄金产量增69.5公吨 连两季增

《悉尼晨锋报》12月2日报导，澳大利亚研究机构瑟比顿联合公司（Surbiton Associates Pty. Ltd.）报告表示，今年第三季，澳洲黄金产量较前季的67公吨增加3.7%至69.5公吨，为连续第二季增加。第三季金价上涨7.6%，为今年来首个上涨的季度；但今年至今金价已经大跌26%，可能写下自1981年以来的最大年度跌幅。澳洲是第二大的黄金生产国，仅次于中国大陆。
瑟比顿董事克罗斯（Sandra Close）表示，第三季澳洲黄金产量增加主要因为高品位矿石的加工增加，并因此降低矿商的现金生产成本的影响，此符合该公司的预期。作为比较，大陆今年1-9月的黄金产量则是年增6.8%至307.8公吨。矿商通常藉价格上涨时处理品位较低的矿石，相反地，当价格下跌时，矿商可以藉加工较高品位的矿石来降低生产成本。瑟比顿也在报告当中指出，目前许多澳洲上市金矿商的可持续总生产成本均远高于每盎司一千美元，鉴于很多削减成本的措施均已经施行，如果金价继续下跌的话，矿商将被迫重新拟定资本支出计划，这可能影响到矿场的开采年限，或者将导致矿场的关闭。
报告指出，第三季澳洲产量最多的几处金矿分别为Boddington（178,000盎司），Super Pit（174,000盎司），Telfer（123,691盎司），St Ives（103,800盎司）以及Tanami（100,000司）。其中，Boddington、Telfer以及Tanami均隶属澳洲最大金矿商纽克雷斯特（Newcrest Mining Ltd.），Super Pit由Newcrest与全球最大金矿商巴瑞克（Barrick Gold Corp）分别持股50%，St Ives则隶属金田公司（Gold Fields）。
