两大金矿商出售矿场 PIMCO抛售黄金

彭博社、道琼社14日引述消息人士报导， 全球市值最大金矿商加拿大黄金公司(Goldcorp Inc.)、营收最高金矿商加拿大巴瑞克黄金公司(Barrick Gold Corporation)打算出售双方共有的Marigold矿场(位于内华达州)，已将相关销售事宜委托给Bank of Montreal，预料可卖得至少2亿美元。Goldcorp、Barrick Gold对Marigold金矿的持股比重分别为67%、33%。
伦敦金价格今(2013)年已大跌逾22%、进入熊市，许多金矿业者也被迫删减成本、集中火力在最有利润的业务。Barrick Gold今年总计已出售了三个澳洲矿场，执行长Jamie Sokalsky 9月24日还说过要卖掉更多资产。Barrick Gold官网显示，在约20年前开始运作的Marigold矿场今年1-6月期间总计生产了81,000盎司的黄金。
金价从去(2012)年10月起展开这波跌势，今年4月中旬更在两个交易日内狂跌逾200美元、坠入熊市，包括太平洋投资管理公司(PIMCO)在内的部份基金经理人第3季持续抛售黄金ETF，让市场担忧随着景气改善、上半年的黄金抛售潮短期内恐怕难以止血。
Thomson Reuters 14日报导，PIMCO Q3期间持续减持全球拥有最多实体黄金储备量的ETF「SPDR Gold Trust (GLD)」，已连续第4季呈现卖超；目前持股量仅120万股，远低于2012年Q2的630万股。此外，投资大师索罗斯(George Soros)旗下的索罗斯基金管理公司(Soros Fund Management LLC)Q3则是售出Goldcorp的股票、但首度买入Market Vectors黄金矿业ETF(Market Vectors Gold Miners ETF)、并保有Barrick Gold持股。
不过，对冲基金管理人鲍森(John Paulson)旗下避险基金Paulson & Co. Q3仍拥有1,020万股GLD、总值13.1亿美元，与前季相同。
