美元兑日圆和欧元升值,投资人此时等候美国联邦准备理事会(Fed)7月例会纪录公布,从中探寻决策官员何时会缩减货币刺激规模的信号。
最新数据显示,美国7月成屋销售冲出2009年11月以来最快速度,美元兑主要对手货币中多数的升幅随之扩大。美元兑澳元和纽元连续第3天劲升,主要因市场推测联准会购债减码将使资金从提供较高收益的国家流出。在新兴市场资产下跌之际,印度尼西亚盾贬至4年谷底,印度卢比更摔到空前低点。
纽约瑞穗银行(Mizuho Bank)外汇策略师哈拉吉里(Sireen Harajli)接受彭博社电访时说:「市场预期无疑偏向减码,这即将发生。若纪录中出现很有可能的争辩,市场就会以偏鹰派来解读,我们就更有可能见到美元走坚。」
台北时间晚间10时10分,美元兑日圆升值0.4%,报97.63日圆,稍早曾升值0.5%。美元兑欧元升值0.3%,报1.3383美元,连2贬止步。欧元兑日圆升值0.1%,报130.67日圆。
追踪美元兑10种主要对手货币的彭博美元指数(Bloomberg U.S. Dollar Index)劲扬0.4%,来到1024.10点。
美国10年期公债殖利率逼近两年来最高水平,商品则连续第3天下跌。
哈拉吉里指出:「过去几天美债殖利率些微上升,这对美元来说也是多头信号。」
全美房地产经纪人协会(NAR)今天公布的数据显示,上月成屋销售提升6.5%,折合年率来到539万户,突破彭博社调查76名经济师的预估中值515万户。房价则较去年同月大涨13.7%。
联准会7月30日至31日例会纪录将在台北时间22日凌晨2时公布,可能会透露决策官员何时将开始缩减每月购债850亿美元规模的线索。彭博社9日至13日调查的经济师中,65%认为美国联邦公开市场委员会(FOMC)将在9月17日至18日的例会上开始放慢购债步调。
