中方确认124名中国公民涉嫌在加纳非法采金被捕
新华网报道，中国驻加纳大使馆确认，截至当地时间5日上午，共有124名在加纳涉嫌非法采金中国公民被羁押。目前，在押人员除个别患疟疾外，没有重病和受伤情况。
事件发生后，中国驻加纳大使馆临时代办周游斌紧急约见加纳总统府高级官员，表达中方对加方执法部门在采矿点以外的中方人员聚居点实施搜捕的严重关切，要求加方立即停止类似行动，给予中方在押人员人道主义待遇，保障其安全与合法权益。
加方表示，近期将暂停在非法采金矿点以外的地方抓捕非法采金人员，同时为有意回国的中国采金人员提供便利。
中国使馆领事官员已多次赴移民局拘留所探视被押人员，送去食品和饮用水等，安排医务人员对被押人员进行检查和治疗，派发药品。加纳华侨华人社团也积极为被押人员提供帮助。
中国外交部发言人洪磊5日在例行记者会后表示，外交部和中国驻加纳使馆高度重视此事，一直与加方保持密切沟通，要求加方妥善处理相关问题，维护在加中国公民安全与合法权益。
中国驻加纳大使馆提醒，旅加中国公民要遵守当地法律法规，合法经营，勿受网络不实信息误导。大使馆将协助有意愿回国的涉嫌非法采金中国公民有序撤离。
