现货黄金上行乏力，FED遭新一轮“文攻”
周三(12月8日)，现货黄金上行乏力，美元持坚限制了金价反弹势头。尽管存在规避现有疫苗的可能，但Omicron影响可能不如其他新冠变体那样严重。美国银行业高管警告称，高通胀可能减缓美国经济成长。这加重了美联储被迫更快收水的压力。
Omicron患者症状轻
美国国家过敏暨传染病研究所所长福奇(Anthony Fauci)周二表示，初步证据表明，Omicron新冠变体的传播性可能更强，但引发的症状没那么严重。“迄今为止，看起来并没有很大程度的严重性。“
福奇补充说，虽然还需要更多的数据，但早期Omicron病例需要住院治疗的似乎更少，患者不太会需要吸氧。他预计下周会有更多的数据，但还需要几周才能得出任何明确的结论。
丰业银行首席外汇策略师Shaun Osborne在一份报告中称：“这似乎正发展为一种广泛市场都认为说得通的理论，即目前，该变种似乎比Delta(变种)更具传染性，但不那么致命。”
澳大利亚国民银行外汇策略主管Ray Attrill在一份研报中写道：“市场继续保持乐观，认为即使Omicron更具传播性，引发的疾病不会像以前的变体那样严重。”
由于Omicron变种导致的病例临床症状表现普遍较轻，新变种对金融市场的影响可能只是一场短暂的阵雨，预计上周开启的避险模式将得到逆转，金价很快就会转跌。
出行限制仍阻碍复苏
但南非非洲卫生研究所(Africa Health Research Institute)教授Alex Sigal周二说，Omicron变体可以部分逃避辉瑞和合作伙伴BioNTech新冠疫苗的保护。
白宫新冠应对协调员Jeff Zients在新闻发布会上说，美国正在不断重新评估Omicron病毒最初发现时对一些南部非洲国家实施的旅行限制，但这些限制将在“一段合理时间内”保持。
据航空公司和机场官员称，由Omicron新冠病毒变体引发的新旅行限制使国际航班业务刚刚开始的复苏受挫，在一些地区造成延误和麻烦。一系列新的检测规定和边境关闭在重要的圣诞旅行季节前引发人们的担忧。
黄金投资者目前比较纠结，一方面通胀和疫情不确定性支撑金价走高；但另一方面，对美国收紧货币政策和美元走强的预期上升，这些都是让投资者感到沮丧的因素。
