周一的数据显示，美国6月职位空缺跃升，创纪录新高，招聘数量增加。上周五公布的美国月度就业报告显示，美国7月就业岗位增幅创近一年来最多，薪资继续上涨。
上周五报告公布后，美元大幅上涨，乐观的就业消息帮助支撑了美联储可能更快采取行动收紧货币政策的观点。联储官员已将就业市场复苏作为收紧货币政策的条件。
美国银行：历史经验预示下半年美元会大幅上涨
美国银行表示，从“历史性异常的”市场和经济状况判断，美元下半年的涨势可能比该行之前的预期还要强。高级外汇策略师Ben Randol周一在报告中写道，与以前的经济衰退相比，此次经济从Covid-19冲击中复苏，带来股票和大宗商品的更强劲上涨以及更高的通胀率。虽然股市现在可能走弱，但强劲的财政扩张可能会导致货币政策收紧，预示美元的全面升值。展望未来，历史经验表明会有一个6-12个月的股市疲软、国债收益率上涨期，这些是可能普遍拖累风险资产的条件，进而支撑美元。

荷兰合作银行：英国央行的决定可能促使进一步削减对英镑的押注
投机者可能会继续削减做空英镑的头寸，此前英国央行在上周四的会议上暗示，未来两年将适度收紧货币政策。CFTC数据显示，在英国央行委员桑德斯和副行长拉姆斯登暗示短期内可能缩减刺激措施后，英镑空头仓位在截至8月3日的当周大幅下降。荷兰合作银行外汇策略师Jane Foley表示，7月中旬两位货币政策委员会（MPC）成员的鹰派讲话，转化为8月初英国央行政策会议上的更鹰派倾向。这可能会在接下来的数据中为英镑的净头寸提供进一步支撑。
