1月18日，现货黄金站稳在关口上方，由于市场看好美国政府上台后的财政扩张政策，加上美国经济数据疲软，拜登上任后还需要快速刺激经济。但目前看来民主党在国会优势微弱，刺激方案的推行时间还不确定。
拜登周三将宣誓就任美国第46任总统，接过领导国家的重担。眼下美国正遭遇疫情重创、陷入深度社会-经济分裂、而且其在全球的领导角色也面临挑战。
拜登已经提出1.9万亿美元的刺激方案，承诺向国人发放1400美元的刺激支票，并称需要大胆投资以启动经济并加快疫苗分发来控制疫情。他希望在上任后的100天内完成至少1亿人口的新冠疫苗接种工作。
分析师本月以来第二度调升美国经济增长预估，因为预计当选总统拜登推出的财政刺激计划将加快经济从疫情中复苏，“当局加大力气提升可支配收入和政府支出，暗示今年稍晚的经济增长将会更强。”
拜登在新冠疫情席卷美国之前，就在竞选活动中承诺要推翻现任总统特朗普的一些做法，但市场仍在观望以期厘清新政府的支出和抗疫计划。拜登在上任后需要快速刺激经济，但民主党在国会的微弱优势意味着，刺激方案的规模和推出时间仍不确定。
报导援引熟悉熟悉叶伦为听证会准备情况的拜登过渡团队官员称，在参议院对于其财长提名的确认听证会上，她将明确表示美国不会寻求弱势美元。预计新政府上台后，将恢复对美元的传统立场。
在去年遭遇罕见抛售后，2021年开年以来，美元命运似乎发生了逆转，美指累计反弹逾1%，得益于美债收益率创下近10个月新高，市场看好美国新政府上台后给经济带来的正面积极作用。
