黃金出現多頭對抗，市場等待形勢進一步好轉

11月6日，黃金多頭出現技術性對抗，美元指數回落，雖然美國近期多項數據表現較好，降低了美聯儲再次降息的預期。但中美貿易磋商傳出積極信號時，市場對拋售避險資產有一定的克制。市場普遍看衰通脹預期。
加上上周五公佈的美國非農就業數據表現強勁，緩解了市場對企業投資下滑和製造業滑坡可能蔓延至整體經濟的擔憂。若美國10月份服務業信心下滑，將表明貿易摩擦對製造業的衝擊也正蔓延至服務業。
巴爾金在巴爾的摩出席一場經濟展望會議後對記者表示：“我認為，現在的情況是，我們已經採取了一些預防性保險措施。我希望，在接下來的六個月裏，能看到這些措施帶來我們期望的影響。我認為現在是按下暫停鍵的好時機。這也正是我準備做的。”

紐約聯儲公佈的最新調查顯示，美國10月份消費者通脹預期再次下滑，家庭對短期物價上漲預估創歷年調查的最低水準。這對於努力抑制通貨緊縮、防止增長放緩的美聯儲而言顯然是令人不安的信號。
自2007-08年金融危機爆發以來，美聯儲倚重的通脹指標一直無法長時間維持在不低於2%的水準。決策者警惕美國經濟可能陷入的通縮陷阱。降息是抵禦通縮風險的手段。
調查發現，40歲以上的消費者或者年收入在5萬美元以上的消費者對一年期通脹預期降幅最大。一年期醫療價格漲幅預期中位數下降0.7個百分點至6.3%，而食品價格預期變動下降0.4個百分點至4.1%。
除去通脹，紐約聯儲的調查報告還顯示，工人對就業市場的看法略微悲觀。2020年失業預期增加1.4個百分點至14.8%。失業後覓得新崗位的平均概率從9月份的60.3%降至10月份的58.8%。
