9月25日，现货黄金从高位回落，因贸易局势向好，加上美国房市数据强劲引发了金价的回落，同时在连日上涨后，黄金市场的多头集体平仓则引发了行情的踩踏事故，进一步加速了金价的下行。
特朗普表示，日本将对700亿美元美国农产品开放市场，日本降低关税有益于牛肉、猪肉和玉米，将与日本继续进行其他领域的磋商，与日本的协议将减少长期贸易逆差，双方将继续就最终协议进行谈判。
在去年9月的首脑会谈上，日美决定启动关税谈判，今年4月开启部长磋商。目前，两国进行了七轮部长级贸易磋商，双方议题涉及日本进口美国农产品关税率、《跨太平洋伙伴关系协定》优惠待遇范围、汽车关税等。
日美贸易协定的签署符合安倍政府“重视经济外交”政策。“安倍政府要扩大经济外交，进一步推动自由贸易协定签署的大思路没有变。日美两国的经贸谈判，实际上也是安倍政府推动同美国达成自由贸易协定的重要一环，”周永生说。
分析指出，作为对利率最敏感的行业，住房市场近几个月来因抵押贷款利率大幅下降而活跃起来。近期楼市数据的改善提升了市场的乐观情绪，市场认为楼市可能在去年触底后重新站稳脚跟。住宅投资已连续6个季度收缩，为2007-2009衰退以来持续时间最长的一次。

约翰逊的反对者开始采取法律行动，是因为他们担心他要求议会在英国脱欧日到来前休会五周，会剥夺他们通过立法阻止他带领英国无协议脱欧的机会。
