黄金开门红，美联储政策无异于自杀

1月14日，现货黄金价格持续走高，逼近高点，冲击千三关口的趋势明显。投资者对美联储今年不升息的预期升温，美元无法持续反弹。中国进出口数据下降，投导致实仓人气进一步受挫。美国财政赤字升高，美联储持续升息的话，对全球经济来说是自杀表现。
2018年美元上涨近4.2%，因美联储四次加息。但目前投资者预计联储将暂停收紧货币政策。美联储主席鲍威尔上周虽然重申，美国经济稳健、目前并未看到经济衰退风险加剧的迹象。但他也强调，鉴于通胀保持稳定，联储在决定未来是否进一步升息时能够保持耐心。
美联储决策官员原本在上月预测，2019年将再升息2次；但近来透过各种方式向外界释放出阵阵“鸽”声，使市场参与者越来越倾向认为，美国央行升息周期可能接近尾声。主席鲍威尔在短短一周内两次公开讲话，一再强调决策官员在决定是否进一步升息时会保持耐心，其他美联储官员讲话及12月政策例会的会议纪录内容也和鲍威尔立场相呼应。
有华尔街“新债王”之称的双线资本创办人冈拉克警告称，由于垃圾债券大量销售和投资级公司债发行大幅成长，再加上美联储不再让市场依赖宽松政策，美国经济已深陷“债务海洋”。
冈拉克还反击特朗普总统所说的——美国经济在他主政下为有史以来最好。冈拉克认为美国经济是靠举债在成长，并引述美国债务时钟网站的数据指出，美国无资金准备债务(unfunded liabilities)已达122万亿美元，相当于美国国内生产总值(GDP)的6倍。
根据美国财政部的数据，2018年度美国联邦政府赤字已超过1万亿美元。而截至本月8日，美国累计债务已达21.9万亿美元，其中16万亿美元为公共债务。由于美联储持续升息，增加的利息成本可能成为更大的负担。
数据显示中国12月以美元计价出口同比下降4.4%，创两年最大月度降幅，表明中国外贸形势堪忧。这是日内市场人气全面转向负面的导火索。
尽管中国2018年全年外贸进出口规模再创新高——首次突破30万亿元人民币，但12月以美元计价出口同比创两年来最大降幅，表明抢出口效应已经基本消失。12月进口同比也创近两年半最大降幅。
鲍威尔还指出，美联储正在密切关注中国经济放缓的情况。目前美中贸易摩擦未对各自经济造成明显影响，美联储也将静观情势变化，以评估全球风险对美国经济的影响。
