特朗普一句話拉動黃金上漲
12月11日，特朗普再次抨擊美聯儲，稱12月加息是愚蠢決定。實際上美聯儲已經採取策略，提振外界對美聯儲的信心。雖然市場認為12月加息概率大，但美聯儲2019年可能暫緩加息，市場靜待美聯儲的12月利率決定以及對加息的講話。

12月11日，多次抨擊美聯儲的美國總統特朗普(Donald Trump)再次站了出來，敦促美聯儲12月會議上不要加息，認為加息將是愚蠢的決定。特朗普在接受採訪時表示，在貿易爭端的情況下，他需要降息的靈活性來支持更廣泛的美國經濟。
雖然特朗普提名鮑威爾成為美聯儲主席，但自鮑威爾去年2月接任該職位以來，特朗普卻一直在指責他。特朗普在8月份表示，他對鮑威爾加息並不感到“興奮”。
不過，在12月11日的評論中，特朗普對鮑威爾的批評相對溫和，但還是批評了他的政策。特朗普稱：“我認為鮑威爾是個好人，正在努力做他認為好的事情。但是，我不同意他的觀點，認為他太過咄咄逼人。”
實際上，面對特朗普的輪番炮轟，美聯儲也並沒有坐以待斃，已經積極展開“自救”。
美聯儲對經濟增長因素、美國經濟和全球經濟的疲弱和脆弱因素非常敏感。現在市場不信任美聯儲，美聯儲仍是一個令人擔憂的因素。

美聯儲明年3月加息概率僅為12%。12月12日，前海開源首席經濟學家楊德龍表示，12月份美聯儲加息已經是板上釘釘。但是，考慮到明年美國經濟增長可能會出現減速，美聯儲加息的節奏將大大放緩，他認為明年美聯儲最多還有一次加息，也就是25個基點的加息空間 。
