贸易纷争致使美股损失数万亿美元

分析师表示，当涉及到与欧盟及中国的贸易争端时，市场不得不提前两步考虑。当你把这些影响加起来，他们可能很小且是独立的，但他们会很快抵消美国减税及增加支出带来的财政刺激影响。
调查显示，那些因负面贸易消息遭受最大打击的公司通常是那些与全球贸易有着密切联系的家喻户晓的公司，比如凯特皮勒、波音、3M和陶氏杜邦（DowDupont）。但当有新关税的消息袭来时，即便像高盛和摩根大通这样的金融巨头也会受到打击。
美股日跌幅最大的日子之一是3月22日，当时特朗普宣布对中国600亿美元商品征收关税。股市大跌2.9%，抹去了1650亿美元的市值。四天后，有消息称，美国和中国正在私下协商改善贸易，道指因此大涨2.8%。然而，在特朗普上周威胁对中国额外征收2000亿美元的关税后，这种改善似乎并未出现。
研究没有发现，美股上涨1%或更高与任何将提高关税的消息有关，这是一个非常明显的迹象，表明投资者迄今为止并未看到高关税或贸易战给市场带来经济好处。
