四次加息破灭，黄金暴涨

此前，市场已广泛预计美联储将于周三宣布年内首次加息，因此将目光转向美联储“点阵图”，以观察美联储委员是否倾向于年内加息四次。但点阵图显示，2018年利率中值落在2.1%，意味着今年很可能将维持去年12月会议上加息三次的预期。
不过，点阵图也不乏亮点。其中显示，美联储预计将于2019-2020年更加陡峭加息，其中2019年将加息三次，较此前预计上升一次。而2020年将加息两次，较此前预计上升一次。
此外，美联储货币政策声明中显示，美联储对经济前景持乐观态度，称经济正以温和速度增长。美联储在经济预期中，也将2018年GDP增速上调至2.7%，前值为2.5%。
尽管如此，通胀前景仍存在一些不确定性，或许是美联储委员不急于加息的原因之一。虽然，美联储在政策声明中表示，未来几个月通胀将会上升，将持稳于2%。但据美联储主席鲍威尔出席新闻发布会时表示，数据未表明通胀会加速上升。
