耶伦褪去主席光环，辉煌继续
美联储理事鲍威尔于2月5日宣誓就任美联储主席。而他的前任——耶伦在褪去美联储主席的光环后将于周一(2月5日)开始在布鲁金斯哈钦斯财政和货币政策中心任高级研究员，与前美联储主席伯南克再度共事。
耶伦将与伯南克在布鲁金斯学会重聚。当时，在伯南克任期的最后三年里，耶伦担任美联储二号人物。耶伦在一份声明中表示：“我很高兴加入布鲁金斯学会。我期待能够继续研究经济问题，特别是与劳动力市场相关的问题，她称自己将继续为有关经济的公共政策献出自己的一份力量。
耶伦此前曾透露，她计划在任期结束后留在华盛顿，因为她的丈夫、诺贝尔奖得主阿克洛夫(George Akerlof)正在乔治敦大学(Georgetown University)教授经济学。
鲍威尔马上将面临挑战。由于担心央行可能不得不更快、更大幅度地加息以对抗通胀，股市将创下两年来的最大跌幅。在早些时候的一次采访中，当被问到金融危机后，美国的经济是否可能会得到改善时，耶伦如此答道：“
美国哥伦比亚广播公司(CBS)于2月4日对其进行了一场采访。在耶伦看来，人们对资产估值的表示出担忧之情是有一定的合理性的。FX678报道，耶伦表示，股市、地产的价值都被估计的太高了。她承认当得知特朗普不再让她继续连任美联储主席时，她是感到失望的。
特朗普此前曾抨击耶伦，指责耶伦，称她通过人为压低利率来创造出“泡沫经济”。但后来，特朗普对耶伦的看法有了改变。特朗普称：“乐于看到美联储基准利率保持在低位，而耶伦也是美联储历史上少有的维持低利率的主席之一。”
